Our work

Real Jobs, Real Yards

Every photo here is our own crew on an actual job. No stock photography, ever — if it is not our work it is not on this page.

Before and after

The Same Yard, Start To Finish

4 jobs shot from the same spot at the start of the day and again once we were done.

Grown up through the lines

Five spans of primary and service line running straight through the crown.

  1. A mature hardwood grown up through five spans of utility line at the edge of a roadside field, an extension ladder set against the trunk and the crew's trucks staged to the right.

    Before

  2. The same roadside after the removal, with the utility spans running through clear sky, the ladders down on the grass and the dump truck loaded.

    After

A maple in the gap between two houses

Taken down in sections from the top, then the yard cleared before we left.

  1. A climber part-way up a large bare maple standing in the narrow gap between two white clapboard houses, tied in below the main union.

    Morning

  2. The same maple taken down to a head-height spar by midday, the trunk cut into rounds and ringed on the grass around it.

    Midday

  3. The same yard at the end of the day with the maple gone, the stump cut flush and the wood and brush cleared off the lawn.

    End of the day

A white pine hard against the house

Lower limbs in over the roofline, dropped and stacked clear of the siding.

  1. A large white pine standing hard against the back corner of a grey-sided house, its lower limbs reaching in over the roofline.

    Before

  2. The same back yard once the pine was down, the trunk cut into rounds and stacked clear of the house, with a crew member in hi-vis working through the last of it.

    After

A hardwood filling a fenced back yard

No room to drop it whole, so it came down the stem a piece at a time.

  1. A tall bare hardwood filling a fenced back yard, with two of the crew at the base and a ladder already set against the trunk.

    Before

  2. The same tree brought down to its main stem, a climber up the ladder taking the last of it and the cut rounds down on the grass below.
